This series of woodcuts is in progress. It is not very good. I am not very proud of it, but all of the original prints were accidently thrown out after they were documented digitally. I feel that they deserve to be seen, so that their death isn't in vain.
The prints were made from a modular system of woodcuts whose shapes are derived from Islamic tile design (the source shapes are dissected in Science Imitates Art?, an article published on Boston.com).
Because of the prints' untimely death, I feel even more compelled to make something extraordinary with the original blocks.
